For a medical emergency, call 911
We cannot help with anything urgent. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
For questions about your own coverage, claims, bills or eligibility, call Medicare directly at 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227), TTY 1-877-486-2048. They can see your record; we cannot.
How to reach us
There is deliberately no contact form on this site. We do not want to become a place where people type their diagnosis or Medicare number into a box, so we use plain email and you decide what to put in it. Please do not send health details, insurance numbers or medical records — we have no use for them and no system built to protect them.

What we cannot help with
Most messages we receive are about things only someone else can resolve. Saying so plainly here saves you waiting for a reply that cannot help.
- Choosing a hospital or a treatment. We do not recommend hospitals and we are not clinicians. Talk to your doctor, who knows your history and can tell you where they admit patients.
- Your bill, your claim, your coverage. Call the hospital's billing office, your insurer, or 1-800-MEDICARE. We have no access to any individual's record.
- Making an appointment. Call the hospital directly. We are not connected to any hospital's scheduling system, and we never pass contact details on.
- Correcting a hospital's CMS record. If an address, phone number or measure is wrong in the federal data, the hospital must correct it through CMS. We cannot edit federal records — though do tell us and we will note the discrepancy.
- Complaints about care received. Complaints go to the hospital's patient advocate, your state health department, or Medicare's complaint process. We have no authority over any hospital and cannot investigate.
- Paid placement. Hospitals cannot pay to appear, rank higher, be featured, or have a measure removed. Please do not ask.
If you work at a hospital
We publish what CMS publishes about your facility, unchanged. If a measure on our page differs from Care Compare, that is our error and we want to hear about it — email corrections and we will fix it quickly.
If the figure matches Care Compare but you believe CMS calculated it incorrectly, that correction has to happen at CMS through the usual review process. Once the federal record changes, our next import picks it up automatically.
We do not remove accurate measures, add promotional text, or accept supplied content. See our editorial policy.
Response times
We are a small team. Data errors get priority because they affect what readers see; other messages may take longer. We read everything, but we cannot reply to every message individually.
